We represent workers that install, service and maintain all types of Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment in all sectors of the HVAC&R Industry along with Building Operators, Stationary Engineers and Building Maintenance Professionals.
On April 14, 1951, Local Union 787 was issued a charter from the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada. Our jurisdiction encompasses the province of Ontario.
We have over three hundred (300) contractors signatory to our Collective Bargaining Agreements. Our journeyperson and apprenticeship training school is one of the only HVAC&R specific Training Facilities in Canada and has set the standard for Apprentice and Gas (TSSA) training resulting in some of the best trained craftspeople in the HVAC&R Industry in North America.
